Based in Toowoomba, the Obadare Group has established itself as one of the leading engineering, heavy fabrication and inspection companies, servicing clients in the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining and mineral processing, power generation, industrial processing and transport industries, throughout Australia. What are we looking for? Boilermakers with high level structural welding skills.
We are seeking skilled boilermakers to fabricate steel, and other metal materials to the highest level. To manufacture, repair and upgrade equipment, products and structures, such as, but not limited to, pipe spooling, boilers, pressure vessels, structural steel and rig and transport equipment.
Key Duties:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures and project schedules
- To carry out fabrication, maintenance and upgrades as per Supervisor’s instruction
- All works to be completed with stringent adherence to the company’s Fabrication ITP and API Q1 accredited policies and procedures
- May be required to carry out shift work or by negotiation work in remote locations however this role is primarily workshop based in Toowoomba
- Ensure that the work area is kept clean, tidy and equipment is maintained to company requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential
- Trade Certificate
- Ability to qualify to welding procedures
- 3+ years previous experience in a similar environment and industry
- Valid QLD Drivers Licence, HR preferred
- National Construction Industry White Card
Highly Regarded
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift
- Working at Heights
- Current Origin Inductions
- ISI Induction
- Current Coal Board Medical
