Turosi Pty Ltd is a privately owned Company with facilities in Victoria, QLD and NSW, providing a full range of raw and cooked food solutions across a range of proteins to the retail and food service sectors. We are one of the largest poultry processors in Australia, supplying major brands across QSR/FCD, General Trade & Retail markets.

We are looking to recruit an energetic and motivated Maintenance Fitter for Day shift. This is a weekly paid role which will be based at our Broadmeadows further processing facility in Victoria. Monday to Friday / Tuesday to Saturday, weekend work as required.

Pay rate: $45 to $50

Ordinary hours between: 5 am to 3 pm.

The role will provide support to the Engineering Manager and Production team by providing quality and efficient maintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns and the installation of new plant and equipment.

Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Relevant trade qualifications as a Fitter and/or Machinist
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • 4+ years industry experience
  • Previous experience in FMCG environment with the understanding of good manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
  • Experience with high-speed packing machines, conveyors, sensors, packers, etc.
  • Have a good understanding of both Hydraulic & pneumatics
  • Proven fault-finding skills and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
  • Ability to identify and drive continues improvement
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Strong commitment to support the production team
  • Good communication skills
  • Forklift license, EWP license (desirable)
  • Ability to execute and adhere to Preventative Maintenance programs
  • Ability to utilise a computer-based Maintenance management system
  • Fabrication Skills, MIG, TIG and ARC welding (desirable)

The successful candidate will be required to work overtime, and weekends as required. Competitive rates will be available for the right person.
