We are looking to recruit an energetic and motivated Industrial Electrician who is prepared to work across all shifts. The role will be based at our Broadmeadows further process site in Victoria.
The role will provide support to the Engineering Manager and Production team by providing quality and efficient maintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns and the installation of new plant and equipment.
We require a qualified A Grade Industrial Electrician to join our team as a permanent employee. We need a well-presented, proactive person who takes pride in completing a quality job. You will have a strong work ethic and you’ll also be a good team player.
Your roster will be 8 hour shifts 5 days a week with some weekend work required.
Your new role
- You will organise and maintain the day-to-day running of the sites production lines, associated plant/equipment and fixed property.
- You will be responsible for keeping the equipment performing to its required production rate, exceeding these rates where possible.
- You will be responsible for maintaining a preventative maintenance program in relation to the production line to ensure there are minimal unplanned stoppages and breakdowns, maintain accurate records pertaining to corrective and periodical/planned maintenance procedures.
What you’ll need to succeed
- You will need to have 4+ years’ experience similar to this to be successful for this role.
- A self-starter, who can work autonomously as part of a small maintenance team.
- You will hold a current electrical license and have a good understanding fault finding and repair on production machinery.
- Previous experience in FMCG environment with the understanding of good manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
- You should have experience identifying areas for improvement and the ability to follow these through from plan to end result.
- You will be able to pull on prior experience working in a manufacturing site as a sole site electrician on production lines and stand-alone production equipment.
- Experience with high speed packing machines, conveyors, sensors, packers, etc
- Ability to execute and adhere to Preventative Maintenance programs
- Motor control, basic PLC’s and VSD experience
