This position is for day shift hours however we have flexibility in start or finish times to provide opportunity for working parents.

Australian work rights are necessary for this position.

Qualifications & experience

  • Understanding and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good hand eye coordination.
  • Physically fit with an eye for detail.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic hand tools, power tools, or assembly equipment.
  • Willingness to work in a repetitive production process
  • Keen to learn new skills.
  • Ability to plan and organise a set of tasks.
  • Understand the importance of maintaining an organised and tidy work space.
  • A friendly and outgoing nature.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Work with others in the manufacture and assembly of metal products.
  • Set up of jigs and fixtures for a production run.
  • Be part of the production process.
  • Finish production parts with cleaning equipment and assembly tools.
  • Perform quality inspections on finished parts prior to production sign off.
  • Operate basic workshop equipment.
  • Maintain clean and organised work areas and ensure tools are stored correctly.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Take part in ongoing training to develop workshop skills.
