Job Overview
We are currently seeking a retail assistant to join our team at Ionica Fine Food Store.
Ionica Fine Food Store offers a wide range of products meat, poultry, fruit and vegetables. Therefore, experience in retail and a general knowledge of food handling will be essential. However, we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
The applicant will be responsible for working on the floor, ensuring our customers are getting the best service possible and ensuring all products are displayed correctly.
Candidates should also be able to communicate fluently in English, as this is necessary for the role. A quick learner who is happy to work in a fast-paced environment will thrive in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Serve customers with a smile, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Stock Management: Regularly move in and out of the fridge to restock items, always maintaining a well-stocked and attractive display cabinet and shelving, making sure to rotate stock, first in first out, ordering stock from supplier if necessary.
- Physical Requirements: Lift and carry items weighing up to 20 kgs.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure products are displayed neatly and the cabinet is always full and clean
- Efficiency: Work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Cleaning duty: Daily cleaning and washing
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a customer service role.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items 20 kgs.
- Quick on your feet and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to maintain a neat display.
- Have full working rights, as this position is 38 hours per week.
- Full time and Part time positions available.
- Must be available to work 5 days per week. Monday to Friday.
