Your responsibilities
- Mark, assemble, and tack simple and complex components as per drawings or other production documents and instructions.
- Handle components and assemblies with electric hoist, forklift and/or overhead crane.
- Occasionally weld simple and complex components according to drawings or other production documents and instructions.
- Mark, assemble, tack and occasionally solder, grind copper sheets inside the tank or any other component.
- Cut, bend, weld and assemble piping, CWB welder qualification with oxy-acetylene, electric arc and pulse arc.
- Knowledge and ability to operate oxy-acetylene and electric arc-welding equipment (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, pulse arc) on all metals.
- Be qualified to CWB standards, welder cat “FS”, pos. 1GF, and successfully complete qualification tests.
- Occasionally check and repair welds for leaks according to established specifications and methods.
- Read drawings for assembling and welding simple and complex components.
- Complete the required verification sheets and documents.
Your background
- Diploma of professional studies obtained following training of 18 months to 2 years
- Knowledge and skills acquired through previous experience: 2 years
- Training or apprenticeship period: 1 to 2 years
- Manual dexterity and precision
- Variety in your tasks: somewhat varied work
- Responsibility for material and equipment during handling
- Problem-solving skills
- Internal and external communications: regular internal communications
- Attention is required to protect the health and safety of others
