Position Overview:
Must be able to operate a brewery lift and an MHE in a consistent, safe, and reliable manner. Prompt work attendance with minimal unplanned absences. Looking for someone who would like to work (12 Hour Day Shift 6 AM-6 PM & 12-hour Night Shift 6 PM-6 AM)
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy forklift equipment safely and behave in compliance with company policy and site management expectations
- Complete daily safety and MHE inspections
- Satisfy employee productivity and inventory accuracy goals concerning unloading and loading shipments, putting away inbound material, picking up outbound orders, and overall handling of customer material
- Count, weigh and otherwise determine the actual quantity of inventory being handled
- Received
- Picked and shipped
- Provide timely and accurate communication to site management
- Provide timely and accurate communication to site customer service personnel
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks to standard
- Open and close facility in special cases authorized by site management
Required skills:
Education
- High school degree required or equivalent work experience
Experience
- One to two years of relevant experience
Knowledge and Skills
- Prior use of MHE and/or prior MHE certification
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Bi-lingual communication skills preferred
- Must demonstrate responsible work habits and satisfy pre-employment requirements, including background checks and drug screening.
Environment and physical requirements
- Communication with people
- Must be able to sit a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and must be able to stand/climb stairs as required
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, crouch, and reach above shoulder level regularly
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds regularly
- Position may be exposed to heavy-duty tractors and trailers, gas and diesel engines, maintenance areas, shipping and receiving docks, material handling equipment, warehouse personnel, and OTR drivers
